After eleven years, the Dream Factory is closing its doors.
Fox is the newest network to try turning an app into a game show. However, this one may actually work. Fox today announced the new interactive music game show Beat Shazam, from Mark Burnett and Jeff Apploff. Apploff was behind Don’t Forget The Lyrics, Fox’s other music-identification game show. Beat Shazam sees two teams battle to identify songs, with the winning team competing against Shazam for the top prize.
VH1 is bringing back MTV2’s revival of Hollywood Squares, named Hip Hop Squares. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that VH1 has picked up 20 episodes of Hip Hop Squares with executive producer Ice Cube. The series will debut this fall. Hip Hop Squares originally aired on MTV2 in 2012 and lasted two seasons.
