If you listened closely at 8:59PM last night you may have heard a sharp, stressed gasp from quiz fans across the country. Lisa Ann Walter defeated Mo Rocca and Katie Nolan in one of the most exciting “Final Jeopardy!” rounds in recent memory to become the Celebrity Jeopardy! 2023-2024 champion and take home the $1,000,000 prize for her charity, the Entertainment Community Fund.
Lisa Ann Walter entered FInal Jeopardy in third place with $13,800; behind Mo Rocca’s $21,100 (thanks to a gutsy true Daily Double at the end of Triple Jeopardy) and Katie Nolan’s $19,500. The clue in the category of “Literary Cliches” was…
Lisa Ann Walter quickly finished her response, “The Butler Did It”. She was correct, wagered all but $100, and ended with $27,500. She was the only one who responded correctly, giving her the title and the million dollar top prize. Mo Rocca won the second place prize of $250,000 and Katie Nolan leaves with $100,000.
