Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings Will Host Jeopardy! Through 2021

No permanent successor to Mike Richards (lmao) has been named yet.

At least for now, the cavalcade of guest stars is ending. Jeopardy! has confirmed that that Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings will host the remainder of the episodes through 2021.

There is no word on a final permanent host yet, but the kerfuffle caused by Mike Richards’ power play seems to have cemented Sony’s yearning for Mayim Bialik to take over as host of the show.

Common fan reaction about Mayim Bialik’s stint as host ranges from excellent to questioning her past views on Harvey Weinstein’s victims and anti-vaccine and other pseudo-scientific sentiments. Ken Jennings has the same fan sentiment, from fervent fans insisting he get the permanent job, to questioning past controversial comments involving the handicapped and defending anti-Semitism.

There is no official word whether or not actor and host LeVar Burton will be getting a second look. Rumors have swirled that Sony isn’t taking LeVar’s campaign as host seriously; but some wonder if his poor on-screen performance was somehow influenced by then-Executive Producer Mike Richards.

This week, Jeopardy! continues to air the only five episodes Mike Richards taped before stepping down as host and executive producer of both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune.
