25 Words Or Less Set To Air Live Episodes Throughout May
For the second season in a row, 25 Words or Less will be airing live episodes on multiple platforms.
Four episodes of 25 Words Or Less per taping day will be shown in real time, starting next Monday, May 4. These broadcasts will continue throughout the month of May, with the final live episodes scheduled for Friday, May 29.
During last year’s taping schedule, 25 Words or Less aired at least one live episode per weekday on the free streaming service Xumo Play. Eventually, an additional hour of live shows began airing on New York City and Philadelphia’s local Fox stations. Each broadcast featured one to two full games, as well as various behind the scenes content.
This year, 30 stations will be airing live episodes, up from just 2 last year. Other participating stations include KTTV in Los Angeles, WRBW in Orlando, and KDFI in Dallas-Ft. Worth. A more comprehensive list can be found on the show’s official website. Some markets will get two episodes per day starting at 12 PM EDT (9 AM PDT), and others will get two episodes at 5 PM EDT (2 PM PDT) instead. In New York City, live episodes aired on WNYW (channel 5) last season, but this time around, they’ll be airing on WWOR (channel 9).

25 Words or Less will also be airing daily livestreams on their official YouTube channel. Like last year, these episodes will also be made available on Xumo Play. Both platforms will be streaming episodes at 12 PM and 5 PM EDT as well. That means all viewers will have access to every live show, even if they aren’t located in a market that’s airing them on TV. The first set of episodes on Monday, May 4 will feature Ross Mathews and Melissa Peterman, and Tuesday’s streams will feature Dulce Sloan and Amber Stevens West.
During these live episodes, viewers will be able to send messages to the host Meredith Vieira, as well as the celebrities. They’ll also have the chance to suggest clues to words that the contestants struggled with. They’ll also have several opportunities to participate in polls about the game, as well as giveaways to win cash and prizes. By scanning the QR code on screen during the show, fans will be able to take part in the Big Bet Challenge. Each viewer will be given virtual coins, and they can wager their coins on predictions about the game. These virtual coins cannot be purchased with real money. At the end of the season, coins are converted into sweepstakes entries, and ten winners will receive a $1,000 cash prize.
25 Words or Less premiered in 2019, and is entering its eighth season. After multiple seasons in Atlanta, it’s now being taped in Jersey City, closer to Vieira’s home.
