CBS Announces Revival of Hollywood Squares
Bring back Whoopi or we riot.
In an announcement today, CBS announced that they’re bringing back the beloved game of massive scaffolding-driven Tic Tac Toe, the Hollywood Squares. Drew Barrymore will be the center square. The show will air Wednesdays at 10 PM starting in January.
Jesse Collins will produce the show, and is no stranger to the format. Collins produced the spin-off version Celebrity Squares for VH1 hosted by DC Young Fly.
Previous iterations of the Hollywood Squares have been hosted by Tom Bergeron, John Davidson and Peter Marshall. Spin-offs, including Nashville Squares and Hip Hop Squares, have been seen on cable in recent years as well.
